If you'd like to check the basics first, here are the things people ask about most.
“I made a purchase but didn't get what I paid for.”
First, force-close the game and reopen it. The purchase will usually appear on launch.
If it still hasn't shown up after a minute, email [email protected] with:
- The receipt number from Apple or Google
- The item you bought (e.g., “100-coin pack”)
- Your device model (iPhone 15, Pixel 8, etc.)
We can verify the purchase and grant the item manually.
“I want a refund.”
We don't process refunds directly — Apple and Google handle that.
- Apple: visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find the FoodyMerge purchase, and pick a reason.
- Google: visit Google Play's refund help page and follow the refund flow.
Refund decisions are at the store's discretion. If you'd like a recommendation letter to support your request (for example, a purchase that genuinely didn't deliver), email us and we'll help.
“I lost my save data.”
FoodyMerge is offline — your save data lives entirely on your device. We do not have a copy of it on a server.
- If you uninstalled the app, the save is unfortunately gone. We don't have a backup.
- If your device was restored from an iCloud or Google backup, the save should restore with it. Reinstall the app and check.
- If you have an unrestored save on an old device, copy the device backup to your new device before reinstalling.
Cloud-save and cross-device sync is on our roadmap but not in the initial release.
“The game crashes or won't open.”
Try this, in order:
- Force-close and reopen the game.
- Restart your device.
- Reinstall the app. (Heads up: this wipes your save unless you have a device backup.)
- Update to the latest version of iOS or Android.
If it still crashes, email [email protected] with:
- Your device model and OS version
- What you were doing when it crashed
- A screenshot of any error message
Crash reports auto-send through Firebase Crashlytics (see our Privacy Policy), which gives us the technical details. The crash report doesn't tell us who you are.
“How do I disable rewarded ads?”
There are no ads in FoodyMerge unless you tap “Watch ad” yourself. If you (or a child) don't want to see them, don't tap the button — there is no way for the game to play an ad without that explicit tap.
A parental-controls switch to hide the “Watch ad” button entirely is on our roadmap.
“I'm a parent and…”
We're glad you're here. FoodyMerge was designed with you in mind.
- My kid is playing — what data does the game collect about them? None unless they tap “Watch ad.” See our Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.
- My kid bought a coin pack without asking — can I get a refund? Yes. Use the Apple/Google refund links above. If you need a recommendation letter, email us.
- I want to ban the “Watch ad” button entirely. Not possible in the initial release, but coming. In the meantime, you can disable in-app purchases on the device via parental controls (Apple's Screen Time, Google's Family Link).
